Moments before the entry of Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, the activist Boniface Mwangi was busy in Jeff Koinange’s Wednesday night show on KTN and just after the entry of MP Moses Kuria who gave a surprise visit to the Jeff Koinange Live set, activist Boniface Mwangi staged a dramatic exit from the show. Mwangi had come on the show to discuss graft in the Jubilee administration in the wake of the Afya House Scandal, but 17 minutes into the interview, Kuria walked in.

Mwangi was clearly shocked by the arrival of the MP and refered the live show as a joke. The video has gone viral where Mwangi can be seen as walking out of the live show on the arrival of Kuria and realizing the situation, Koinange tried to handle the situation by stopping Mwangi but failed.

The activist, unmoved by Koinange’s request said that, “You invited me to have a discussion and I’m done with my discussion.” And left it as one-sided discussion.

The outspoken activist went on to claim that the talk show host had ambushed him by inviting Kuria to join him on the bench. Mwangi added that, Kuria has accused of hate speeches and therefore no discussion can be held in his presence. As per Mwangi, according to KTN, it has been said that there will be no other person on the talk show and neither there was any mention.

Mwangi, who won the 2008 CNN Multichoice African Photojournalist of The Year for his coverage of the 2007/2008 post-poll violence, explained that he walked out as a matter of principle.

Kuria, who proceeded with the interview after Mwangi’s exit has stated that he was an uninvited guest on the show.
