People nowadays do crazy stuff to get their voice heard. This is what British model and social media personality Iskra Lawrence did. In order to get attention of train commuters, she removed her black dress on New York subway to protest body shaming.
Here’s what she said:
“I want to make myself vulnerable today so you can see truly the journey I have come on with my own body and how I feel about myself today, so I am going to reveal myself to you.
I grew up hating what I saw in the mirror because society told me I was not good enough, I thought there was something wrong because I didn’t have a thigh gap, that I had cellulite, that I wasn’t skinny enough.
I strip down to share my voice.
We all have our own unique power and sharing it with the world is something really special and hopefully the more we can listen and learn from each other we become more open minded and less judgmental.”
This message has gone viral on social media and people are giving mix reactions to this video.
